Self-compassion involves being aware of our own pain and suffering, and understanding that while feeling this pain is hard, it is a normal human experience. Directing feelings of kindness and care towards ourselves, and focusing our attention and energy on how we might alleviate our pain, are also crucial components of self compassion. These sessions explore how to silence our inner critic, and be kinder to ourselves. Being self-compassionate involves an acceptance of human imperfection. Acknowledge that you can never be perfectly compassionate towards yourself or others all the time. Instead, the more time you spend in compassion mode with your soothe system in charge, the more your mental health and well-being will thank you.
